Relationship Therapy supports couples, triads, and friends.
Relational therapy explores and heals unfulfilling patterns within your relationship. This work is open to any relational dyad or triad interested in improving communication, connection, and trust. This includes life-partners, lovers, romantic triads, roommates, and friends.
Human beings are wired for connection. This means that we crave deep, meaningful, connective relationships. Therefore, it is human to experience distress when important relationships are threatened.
This supports clients navigating:
Sexual/erotic disconnection
Desire mismatch
Ethical non-monogamy and polyamory
Rebuilding trust after betrayal
Relationship transitions
Repeating arguments
In this work, we will:
Slow down
We will take time to be curious about patterns present in your relationship. Together, we will interrupt negative cycles. And, through guided reflection, clients will build safety to communicate their emotional experiences. In this stage, partners learn to deeply listen to each other and connect in difficult moments.
Deepen trust and connection
Once safety has been established, a new level of connection is possible. In this stage, partners share their emotional experiences and expand their ability to respond with care.
Expand connection and welcome growth
In the final stage, partners practice attuning to each other. Over time, this attunement facilitates secure attachment and builds relational resilience. Then, partners can face new challenges with confidence and security as they grow.
